Jack's 5-month birthday, and WOW, is he ever SOCIALIZED! It WORKED!

Well, Jack has his 5-month birthday, and I am proudly proclaiming him to be the most well-socialized dog I have ever owned, thanks to the great training of John Quy in Lansing, NC, and information from the Internet. And a LOT of hard work by both me and Baby Jack.

Baby Jack loves EVERYONE he meets, all dogs, all animals, all people, and most of all, children! I've never had a dog that wasn't at least a little concerned about proximity to children, but Baby Jack sees a child, any size, and his tail starts wagging so hard it's just a blur, and he is trying to get to the child for kisses and hugs. The kids can pick him up, hug him, anything they want, and Baby Jack just loves it! He even cries if they walk past him without a hug or kiss!

Now, this is not the kind of dog that normally likes kids at ALL! This is a small POODLE! John Quy, the trainer, said this type of dog is usually the most vicious toward children of any breed! Snappy and growly. So he was truly astonished at Jack's personality, and said to give good credit ALSO to the breeder, Michelle Golding in Winston Salem, who, he said, had to have chosen really good parents to have a dog that could even be TRAINED to behave like this! Sandpiper Kennels. If you want a poodle, TALK TO MICHELLE! I'll give you her contact info. She is incredible.

I'm trying to post a picture of Baby Jack here for you. He's super cute! I'm trying to turn him into a corded poodle, without knowing anything but what I've read about how to do it--on the Internet, and watching youtube.

Say hi if you stopped by!

Love,
Beth and Baby Jack
